Just over a month ago the Boston Rockhoppers beat up on the Rhode Island Kingfish 20-7. It was a much different story Saturday night as the teams battled to the end in a hard fought game with the Rockhoppers coming out on top, 15-14 before well over 1,500 fans at the New England Sports Center.
We have reached the halfway point in the North American Lacrosse League 2013 season. At this point, the teams have carved out their identities and had the opportunity to face each of the other teams in the league.
The Baltimore Bombers and Rhode Island Kingfish got busy on Thursday afternoon, making a trade and a few more transactions. In what can be said to be the first trade in North American Lacrosse League history, the Bombers sent James Synowiez to the Kingfish for a fifth round draft pick next season.
Due to an unforeseen logistical situation, the Rhode Island Kingfish will be opening the 2013 season on the road. We are opening our season January 12th in Kentucky vs. the Kentucky Stickhorses.
